It was a very special Thanksgiving this year, as two of my best friends came to visit at the same time!

Cisco and Josh spent a few days checking out my new digs and exploring some of the Pikes Peak Region.

Check out a few of our pictures here!

I spent most of October back in San Francisco, hanging out with friends and family.  While in the Bay Area, I had the opportunity to visit a group foster home and share a little of Desert Blood 10pm/9c with the kids.  It was great to have such an attentive audience and make a few new fans!

Back in Colorado Springs, I was a guest author at signing with many other talented writers, including my friends Robert Spiller and Beth Groundwater.

All three of us are mystery writers, so it was great to hang out for an evening and compare stories!

Check out their books if you get a chance.

I’m heading back to the San Francisco area for a few weeks to start a new job and to continue revising my latest manuscript.  It’ll be good to catch up with family and friends.  Before leaving, I headed up into the Colorado high country to see some of the amazing fall colors.

On November 1, I will be doing a fun booksigning with fellow authors Bob Spiller and Beth Groundwater at Poor Richard’s Bookstore in Colorado Springs.  The event starts at 6pm.  It’d be great to see some of you there!

I spent a great weekend in Denver at the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Letters and Lines Fall Conference.  There, I was able to connect with several other authors, spend some time with my agent, and do another fun book signing for Desert Blood 10pm/9c!

Another summer comes to a close...this Labor Day weekend, my friend Bud and I got out and had ourselves some real Colorado adventures.  Not only did we hit up the balloon festival here in town, but we hit the road, as well, visiting some pretty cool places, like Great Sand Dunes National Park!

My friend Carol and I headed to the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver last night to check out the hottest YA author in the business... Stephenie Meyer.

We weren’t alone.  The crowd was 700+, and the screams equaled that of a rock concert.  So we grabbed a couple of teen fans from England (Emily & Kate) and joined in the fun!

I spent the morning volunteering at the Pikes Peak Library Book Sale.

This good cause raises much needed funds for the district.

Today’s sale was all about Children’s Books, which made it all the more important!

Did you all get a chance to rush out and buy the new Harry Potter book this weekend?  I took a break from working on my new manuscript to attend a great party with some friends.  I even managed to make a few new fans along the way and steal a little bit of Harry’s thunder by selling some books of my own!
